COUNTY OF SACRAMENTO

ALL INDIVIDUALS WHO WORKED AT SUTTER GOULD MEDICAL FOUNDATION IN AN HOURLY, NON-EXEMPT POSITION BETWEEN SEPTEMBER 28, 2013 AND SEPTEMBER 3, 2018:

A PROPOSED CLASS ACTION SETTLEMENT (“THE SETTLEMENT”) OF THIS LAWSUIT PENDING IN SACRAMENTO COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT FOR ALLEGED WAGE AND HOUR VIOLATIONS HAS BEEN REACHED BETWEEN PLAINTIFF DANYAL ALI (“PLAINTIFF”) AND DEFENDANT SUTTER VALLEY MEDICAL FOUNDATION, INC., DBA SUTTER GOULD MEDICAL FOUNDATION (“DEFENDANT”).  THE COURT HAS GRANTED PRELIMINARY APPROVAL OF THE SETTLEMENT.  YOU MAY BE ENTITLED TO RECEIVE MONEY FROM THE SETTLEMENT.

A State of California Court has authorized this notice. This is not solicitation from a lawyer.

A proposed class action settlement has been preliminarly approved, against Sutter Valley Medical Foundation, Inc. in the Sacramento County Superior Court, Case No. 34-2017-00217486.

  • Plaintiff alleges that Defendant failed to properly calculate and pay overtime to its employees, failed to provide meal breaks and/or pay meal premiums, that the wage statements furnished by Defendant were inaccurate, and that Defendant failed to pay all wages due and owing to employees at the end of their employment.  With regard to the overtime issue, Plaintiff alleges that Defendant underpaid its employees because it failed to account for non-discretionary bonuses when determining its employees’ “regular rate of pay.”
  • You have not been sued. The Court certifying the Class and issuing Notice is not suggesting that the named Plaintiff or the Class would have won or lost the case.
